Meet the Team

Dr. David Kirsch

Dr. Kirsch is a graduate of the 7 year Brooklyn College-Downstate Medical Center B.A./M.D.  program.  He then completed his Ophthalmology residency at Mt Sinai Medical Center in NYC.  Dr. Kirsch has been in private practice at Nassau Ophthalmology Associates since 1992.  Dr. Kirsch practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a concentration on small incision cataract surgery.

Dr. Kirsch maintains academic positions at Northwell Health-Hofstra School  of Medicine where he is a clinical associate instructor.   Dr. Kirsch serves as the Director of the Ophthalmology Residency Program for St. John’s Episcopal Hospital South Shore where he is in charge of the training of 9 residents annually.

Dr. Michael Margulis

Michael Margulis, MD has been practicing ophthalmology in Cedarhurst, NY since June 1985.  He graduated Magma Cum Laude from the Brown University Program of Medicine, an integrated seven-year BS and MD granting course of study. After interning at the Beth Israel Hospital of Boston, a Harvard affiliate, he completed his Ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.  Wills has been recognized as being the best Ophthalmology training program in the United States due to its broad offerings in cornea, pediatrics, glaucoma, oncology, and neuro-ophthalmology.  Dr. Margulis is on staff at North Shore Syosset Hospital, LIJ at Valley Stream Hospital, St. Johns Episcopal Hospital and maintains consulting privileges at North Shore Manhasset. He is involved in teaching and supervising ophthalmic residents.  He enjoys interacting, examining, and listening to his patients and has special interest in small incision cataract surgery and laser therapies.

Monday Tuesday and Fridays 9 AM to 4:30 PM
Wednesday and Thursdays 9AM to 8:30 PM
Saturdays 9 AM to 1 PM.
